Inspired by the majestic Mount Sajama, Bolivia’s highest peak, Sayama not only captures the essence of this breathtaking landscape and the iconic llamas that roam its slopes, but also embodies the rich cultural heritage of the Aymara people. These people are known for their deep spiritual connection with nature and their sustainable practices.
By combining luxurious llama and highland wool, we present a yarn that is perfectly balanced between lightness and durability. We make no compromises on quality or comfort, and it is especially suited to Scandinavian knitting and multicolored designs.
Sayama’s vibrant color palette reflects the diverse hues of Mount Sayama, from lush greens to deep blues and vibrant wildflowers. Each shade tells a story of the mountain’s breathtaking landscapes.
Made in Bolivia, in a factory located in the heart of La Paz, Sayama is EcoText 100 certified. This demonstrates Pascualia’s commitment to sustainability and ethical production practices. Although llama wool does not yet have broader organic certification, Pascuali personally guarantee the welfare of the animals involved in its production and stand for quality and ethical standards.
Care
We recommend hand-washing Sayama knitwear in lukewarm water with a mild wool detergent. Then dry flat, ideally on a terry towel to prevent distortion. Never dry directly on a heat source or in direct sunlight! Â
