Alva Cashmere Revive is a truly luxurious yarn with a rather fabulous story behind it. Made from 95% recycled cashmere and 5% virgin wool, it takes one of the world’s most beautiful fibres and gives it a second life – without losing the softness, warmth and sheer gorgeousness that makes cashmere so special.

Certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Alva proves that sustainability and luxury can sit very happily together.

And oh my goodness, it is soft.

Feather-light, warm and beautifully refined, Alva has that unmistakable cashmere feel that makes you want to squish the ball before you’ve even contemplated what you’re going to make with it. The small addition of virgin wool gives the yarn a little extra stability whilst still allowing the cashmere to be the star of the show.

Each petite 25g ball has approximately 115 metres, making it perfect for beautiful sweaters and cardigans, delicate lace, scarves, cowls and those special accessories that sit next to your skin and make you wonder why you don’t knit everything in cashmere.

Available in a fabulous palette of timeless, understated neutrals to glorious pops of Electric Blue and Chartreuse Green, you can go beautifully classic or make something altogether more attention-seeking.

Fiona says: Cashmere is one of those fibres that really doesn’t need much of a sales pitch – pick up a ball and you’ll understand! Alva is absolutely divine: buttery soft, incredibly light and with that wonderful warmth that only cashmere seems to manage. The fact that it’s made from 95% recycled cashmere makes me love it even more. This is definitely one for that special project – although I should probably warn you that once you’ve knitted with cashmere, your other yarns may have to work considerably harder to impress you!
