Sock weather is on its way!

So who’s a sockaholic?  Me haha, yes, I put my hands up, its me, I am a complete sockaholic and I always have (at least) one sock on the go.  So as you can imagine I was thrilled when I had to make up a sock sample for the shop in the new Rico Socks Soft Spin.

What a gorgeous yarn this is – it is beautifully soft and the subtle stripes are just gorgeous.

Brand new this season I do think its going to be very very popular.  Its not as bold as its solid striped or fairisle cousins but its beauty is in its gentleness of tones.

I do also think it would make a great background colour for fairisle projects too such as Ravelry: Basket Socks pattern by Alena Malevitch

What do you think?

This yarn will be perfect for socks, accessories and would make a super stripey sweater or tank top.  I wonder what it would ne like held double with a strand of Mohair Silk laceweight too?  Ooh the possibilities are endless………Rico Socks Soft Spin 4ply / Sock – Yarn etc…
