Stylecraft Flóki
Chunky, colourful and made for getting creative, Stylecraft Flóki is a 100% pure wool yarn designed especially for felting – and it’s arrived at just the right time!
Flóki is a Super Chunky pure wool that can be felted in the washing machine, transforming your knitting or crochet into a wonderfully dense, sturdy fabric. It’s perfect for bags, baskets, home accessories and, of course, the fabulous felted slippers that are having a real moment right now.
If you’ve spotted the on-trend Felted Sailor Slippers all over Ravelry, Flóki is exactly the sort of yarn you’ll want to reach for. Knit them oversized, felt them down and watch the wool transform – there’s something slightly magical about the whole process.
But Flóki doesn’t have to be felted.
Use it as a chunky-weight pure wool on around 6–7mm needles or hooks and it’s also a fabulous choice for cosy, rustic knits. Think chunky Icelandic-style sweaters, warm accessories and beautifully woolly garments with plenty of character.
Just remember: if you want to keep your finished project unfelted, treat it gently when washing – unless you’d like your lovely jumper to come out considerably smaller than when it went in!

I think this is going to be such a fun yarn to have in the shop. Felting seems to be having a bit of a resurgence, and those Felted Sailor Slippers are everywhere at the moment – Flóki gives us the perfect yarn to have a go.
I also love that it isn’t a one-trick pony. Used on smaller needles without felting, it makes a fabulous proper woolly chunky yarn, and I can absolutely see it knitted into a gorgeous Icelandic-style sweater.
One word of warning though – if you’ve spent hours knitting said gorgeous sweater, keep it well away from the washing machine! 😂

Care
Hand wash only and dry flat. Do not tumble dry or bleach. Cool iron up to 110°C. May be dry cleaned using PCE if required.
