Rico Socks Spray Print 4ply/Sock

A classic, hard-wearing sock yarn with a beautifully subtle twist, Socks Spray Print 4-Ply has a delicate sprayed colour effect that gives your knitting gentle variation without creating bold stripes or overpowering patterns.

The colour is scattered irregularly throughout the yarn, creating a softly nuanced, almost speckled appearance with plenty of visual depth while still feeling calm and understated. It’s a great choice when you want something a little more interesting than a solid colour, but don’t want the yarn to take over your project.

With 75% virgin wool for warmth and comfort and 25% polyamide for strength and durability, it’s ideal for socks, but equally lovely for lightweight accessories, shawls, scarves and everyday knits.

I really like a sock yarn that gives you a bit of interest without shouting about it, and that’s exactly what the spray effect does here. The colours have a lovely softly scattered look, so even simple stocking stitch has plenty going on.

And with 380 metres in a 100g ball, you’ve got a really useful amount to play with — obviously perfect for socks, but don’t feel you have to stop at your feet! I’d happily use this for a simple shawl, scarf or lightweight accessory where you can let that subtle colour effect do all the work.
