Add a little extra colour to your knitting or crochet with Rico Creative Make It Multicolor – one of what we like to call our add-ins at Yarn Etc.
This incredibly fine 100% wool yarn is designed to be held together with your main yarn, adding a subtle multicoloured effect without dramatically changing the weight, texture or structure of your project.
Simply choose your main yarn, add a strand of Make It Multicolor and work the two together as one. The superfine strand introduces little flashes and shifts of colour as you work, giving even the simplest yarn a completely different look.
It’s also brilliant for experimenting. Add it throughout an entire project, use it just on cuffs, hems or yokes, or introduce it for a few rows here and there to create your own individual accents.

I LOVE an add-in! They’re such a simple way of completely changing a yarn without having to do anything complicated.
Make It Multicolor is particularly clever because the strand is so fine. You’re adding all those little touches of colour without suddenly turning your DK into something resembling a chunky yarn!
Try it with a plain yarn that needs a little zhuzhing, use it to give an old favourite a completely different personality, or combine it with some of the other Rico Make It add-ins if you’re feeling adventurous.
It’s basically permission to play – and I’m always in favour of that.
