Symfonie Diva is a beautifully luxurious lace-weight yarn made from 75% Merino wool and 25% silk — and I have to say, the moment I picked up one of these balls I was completely smitten. It is unbelievably soft. The balls themselves are just perfection: beautifully smooth, silky and squishy, and one of those yarns you can’t help but keep stroking!
The Merino gives Diva its wonderful softness, warmth and gentle elasticity, while the silk adds a gorgeous subtle sheen and beautiful fluid drape. The combination makes for a yarn that feels every bit as luxurious as it looks.
I recently saw a stunning shawl made in Diva at a trade show, and it was an absolute joy to behold. The fabric was light, delicate and beautifully drapey, with the silk catching the light and showing off the lacework to perfection. It was one of those pieces that makes you immediately want to cast something on.
