We then decided to make two beanies – one knitted and one crocheted – to test if they were as soft and comfortable, as the squishy balls they come in suggest, once the garments were actually made up.
Fiona knitted the Urban Jungle Hat by Rachel Illsey Urban Jung available on Ravelry; Poppy crocheted the Mr. Beanie Pattern by Tinna Crochet currently available free on Tinna’s new website.
As you can see in the photos above, the Katia Concept yarn certainly gave these two beanies a fabulous finish, with rich stitch definition, while definitely passing the squishy soft and comfort tests…
