Rico Fashion Wool Alpaca Landscape

Fashion Wool Alpaca Landscape is one of those wonderfully light and fluffy yarns that gives you lots of gorgeous fabric without lots of weight.

A beautiful blend of wool and alpaca gives it warmth and softness, while the polyamide adds strength and a tiny touch of elastane gives the yarn a little bit of bounce. The result is an incredibly lightweight yarn with a soft, airy handle that will make beautiful garments and accessories.

And then there are the colours! Landscape has gorgeous, nature-inspired colour changes running through the yarn, gradually doing all the clever work for you as you knit. It’s perfect for simple shapes and stitches where you can really let those changing shades take centre stage – although we think it would be rather fabulous in a simple shawl or scarf too.

With an amazing 170 metres on each little 25g ball, it goes much further than you might expect, and despite its fluffy appearance it knits on a 3.5mm needle, creating a beautifully light fabric rather than anything heavy or bulky.

Fiona says: Don’t be fooled by the tiny 25g ball – there’s a whopping 170 metres hiding in there! I love a yarn that changes colour all by itself, especially when the shades have been designed to flow together. Keep the pattern relatively simple and let Landscape do the showing off.
