I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to some Spring sunshine and lots of lovely blooms to cheer everywhere up. January & February seem to have been rather soggy months, so I am hoping some more dry days are on the way.

As you can see above, I've been having a play! I’ve started a DK version of the shift cowl, pairing the Jitterbug with the Grundl Second Life in really dark bottle green. I have to say I’m liking the effect. What do you think?

The patterns go really well with the Silk Mohair and we've just got extra shades in! The mohair is really fine laceweight which when held double with other thicker yarns gives a subtle haze of colour over the background colour.

Here are four new colours to add to the Stylecraft ReCreate double knit range. This is a blended yarn that is made entirely from recycled fibres. With a mix of wool, Viscose and recycled acrylic/nylon, it's one of our biggest selling yarns - we just can’t keep in!

The yarn lends itself to beautiful stitch definition with strong cabling, lace detail and texture stitches all featured in the designs. Some of it will be a recycled acrylic yarn, but other bits of it will be recycle plastic bottles.

Lang Noelle which is a fine 4 ply, just as light as air and it is absolutely stunning.

Let this gossamer yarn glide over your needles and you can dress in the lightest layer of merino fibre and warm air. You may forget altogether that you are wearing something, until you are showered with compliments.

So what's been on my needles this month? Well, I've managed to finish a few things since our last newsletter.
|
|
|
|
I've been making the stunning Polina Sweater (pictured below left). The design is by Teti Lutsak, a fantastic Ukrainan knit wear designer, just look how beautiful her detail is!
|

It’s an intermediate level knit. If you are comfortable (or fancy having a go at…) short rows, ribbing and working in rib sequences, lifting left and right leg increases, (on your knitting, not your body 😂 ), working from colourwork charts…. Go for it!
|
|
Let’s talk yarn!…The yarn recommended is can be a ‘thicker’ 4ply, thin dk or an actual sport weight yarn. It is vital you do a tension square for this project.
|

I also finished a Danzig scarf (pictured above right). I’ve used bits of left over stashed sock yarn in 4ply and a ball of Rico superba cashmeri in shade light grey.
