Will you give a big warm welcome to our two new shops - Spinning Jenny in Grassington and Bugweeds in York - we really look forward to you all visiting and meeting the owners of these new to the trail little gems, we know you won't be disappointed, they are great.
We have a few extras we are doing this year. We will be running the Knit and Natter Lounge at Yarndale on the weekend of the 28th and 29th September - there are two sessions a day 11-1 and 2-4 and you will find North Yorkshire Yarn Trail Shop owners/helpers in there so come along if you are at Yarndale and come and say Hi and have some down time and do some knitting or crochet with us.

For the eagle eyed amongst you you will also see that the NYYT shops have yarn bombed the bollards outside at the front entrance of Yarndale too, we are having great fun creating them for your enjoyment. If you haven't bought your Yarndale ticket yet you can get one here Home Tickets - Yarndale Tickets.

As usual we will all be holding special offers/prizes/events throughout the two weeks of the Yarn Trail and as always grab a passport and map at your first shop and get it stamped at each shop you visit (you don't have to visit all the shops to be entered into the prize draw either, yay).
We have very excitedly been sponsored this year by two fabulous North Yorkshire companies. First up is the brilliant King Cole who, based in Skipton, has been on the go since 1935!! You will all be very familiar with their superb yarns which are household names (you really can't beat their Cotton Soft DK, its scrumptious) and you will see a lot of our Yarn Trail Shops are stockists for. Go have a squish on your way round and see what they have that can tempt you.

The second Sponsor is new(ish) kid on the block - our very own - Harrogate Yarn Company - its very exciting isnt it! The Harrogate Yarn Company is exclusively available via Yarn Etc both online and in-store and we look forward to showing you our 'new' yarns when you come visit us. We have expanded our ranges and have some super new hand dyed British yarns in the ranges.
