Yarns Unspun

Hello lovelies!

How are you all doing in this early summer weather? Isn't it lovely to see the sunshine and with those lighter evenings, there seems more day to do things in.
Have you got projects on the go that are portable so you can complete them in the garden? Or do you need some inspiration? I've got lots of exciting arrivals to show you, so grab yourself a cuppa (and maybe a biscuit), and lets get stuck in!

Look what's new!

Stylecraft Savannah

Stylecraft Savannah - 100% cotton aran weight yarn and it's lovely and soft. We have a wide range of patterns in store and if you buy two balls there's a free pattern for a scarf too!

Limited Edition...crazy colour changing yarn!

Calling all summer projects - we recommend this lovely crazy colour changing yarn!

The Schoppel Zauberball Crazy Cotton 4ply is a 100% cotton yarn and lots of fun. You can find it on our website here.

Fi's personal favourite is...

Wool Addicts is my personal favourite.

The wonderful Lucy has created a crochet cowl pattern with the yarn and it's available here on Ravelry.

It's a one ball project - it's also a sock yarn and can be used for any 4ply projects.
How are you all doing with your projects? Have you been tempted away from them by the sunshine? Or have you taken them with you?
Here is the Rico Lighthouse I've finished from Book 'Maritime' which costs £5.25 and is available in store.
The Rico Ricorumi Cotton is perfect for crochet amigarumi toy making and you can find it in store and on our website here.
I've also finished Scheepjes Bueno the Bunny - pattern available individually or kit in original, blue, pink, lavender colourways available in store for £11.95 (or can be posted out for an additional £3.95).
This Zick Zack scarf 👆 is a free ravelry download (download here) which I've made using up scraps of sock yarn/4ply from my stash. I've made this three times now and every time it looks amazing no matter what its knit in.

And I've got lots more projects in the pipeline...so many gorgeous summery colours of yarn to choose from! Let's hope I complete something rather than add to the WIP pile! 😂

My top tip this month...

Blocking your work once it's been knitted or crochet gives a really professional finish and helps open out any lacework and straighten up any wonky seams etc.

We have a Blocking Masterclass coming up on Saturday 1st July at 10am. For more information on the class, click here, and to book, click here.

We also sell blocking pins and blocking combs in the shop, so do pop in and have a look.

Look at these gorgeous summer colours!

Lang Jawoll Silk Superwash.
A stunning 4ply yarn in the most beautiful summery range of colours…come squish!

Pay it forward

We know and work with so many amazing small businesses, that we decided to have this section to share them with all of you 😊

This month we want to highlight Cooking Fantastic at The Cud Life in Killinghall.
It's an absolute gem of a shop which sells everything you could possible need relating to cooking and food prep/serving etc and also has fruit, veg, store cupboard staples, speciality ice-creams and gorgeous staff headed up by Tanya who is the owner.
It's run on their farm too which also has a fantastic camp site and cottages to rent. It's idyllic.
That's it for this edition - lots packed in again and hopefully, your brew hasn't gone cold whilst you've been reading. 😁

Good luck with all your summer project planning and do pop in the shop if you have any questions or want to squish some yarn!

Speak soon and have fun.
